The Hedge End Food Centre based in Kings Community Church helps families and individuals with essential food supplies during a financial crisis. We support Hedge End Food Centre through our food collection at the back of the Church.
The Rose Road Association works with children and young people with multiple and complex health needs, and their families, from across Hampshire and the surrounding counties. At St James, there is a collection point for plastic milk bottle tops which we collect on behalf of Rose Road.
Street pastors are trained volunteers from local churches who care about their community. They patrol in teams of men and women on a Friday and Saturday night, to care for, listen to and help people who are out on the streets. Our local Street Pastors serve the Hedge End, West End and Botley area every Friday from 8pm to midnight.
SO18 Big Local is a project that covers parts of Harefield, Midanbury and Townhill Park in Southampton. These neighbourhoods together were awarded £1m from the Big Lottery Fund to make a lasting positive difference to the area over 10 years. The project is resident-led – what it does is driven by what residents in these areas tell them their priorities are.
