Pathfinders is our Children’s Church for children aged 4 and above. Our aim is to encourage a deeper understanding of our Christian faith. We meet every Sunday during Parish Eucharist (9.30am) in the church hall.
Pathfinders describing to the congregation what they learned
Each session begins with our Pathfinders song. After that we read a bible story on the same theme as the main church service, and the message of the day is enhanced through craft activities. We then return to the main church to join the Eucharist for a blessing at the altar rail and, very importantly, tell the congregation what we have learned in our session, before we finish with squash and biscuits.
Parents are welcome to accompany their children or remain in the Parish Eucharist.
Pathfinders meet every Sunday during term time.
We also hold activity mornings at Christmas and Easter, when up to 30 children come together for craft, games and stories, followed by a short service for both children and parents.
All adults that help in Pathfinders follow our safeguarding policy and have undergone the Government’s Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks. We also require parents and those with parental responsibilities to complete a registration form for their child before leaving their child in our care.
